We are ready for the 2016 chamber year. Our membership is strong and growing. Our leaders are passionate about providing support to area businesses, and offering dynamic programs to serve the needs of our diverse membership. We are also committed to serving as the voice of business at the state and local level. Staff has completed our annual Program of Work so that on January 4, we will hit the new year off running full steam ahead!
Our annual Installation and Awards Luncheon is set for Friday, January 15 at Tchefuncta Country Club. The luncheon agenda will include installation of our 2016 board of directors, who have committed their time and expertise to set policy and carry out chamber programs designed to maintain an atmosphere for commerce to occur in St. Tammany Parish.
Typically at this luncheon a business of the year award — the Tammany Award — has been presented to a business that has exhibited employment and sales growth, overcome adversity, and given back to our community. With the ten year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina now behind us, and continued business growth occurring in St. Tammany, our leadership felt it appropriate to recognize each of the past ten years winners this year.
Past winners to be recognized will include CLECO, Hornbeck Offshore, Zen-Noh Grain Corporation, Ballard Enterprises, Florida Marine Transporters, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Netchex, Franco’s Athletic Club, Pelican Energy Consultants and Painting with a Twist.
Sponsored by Chevron and Capital One, the cost to attend is $45 for members, $55 for non-members and $470 for a table for eight. Seating is limited, and reservations can be made online at sttammanychamber.org/events by calling 985-892-3216.
