Chamber member businesses recognized at annual Business Appreciation Luncheon

Thankful for our local businesses

At this time of year we like to reflect on the accomplishments of our Chamber, and to thank all of our members whose commitment and investments have helped to get us where we are today. One of the goals of our Small Business Council is carried out during this month of thanksgiving, by recognizing member businesses for their accomplishments and contributions to our quality of life by presenting them with Business Appreciation Awards.

Nominations were collected and the votes were tallied. This year’s award winners were announced at our annual luncheon held last week, November 16, at Tchefuncta Country Club in Covington, sponsored by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust.

This year’s winners were:

Chick-fil-A for the Service with a Smile Award, awarded to a company known for their outstanding customer service;

Hancock Whitney Bank for the Go Give Award, which celebrates a company that supports charitable and civic organizations and encourages employee involvement in the community;

St. Tammany Parish Hospital for the Employee Training Award, given to a business that supports employees’ continuing education throughout their career;

Ochsner Northshore for the Innovation Award, given to a company that is a leader in technological change;

Three Site to See Awards were given, including to the Abita Springs Roundabout, Alexander Milne Developmental Services, and Netchex bestowed upon business locations that enhance the appearance of the community;

Bin There Dump That for the Out of the Gate Running Award given to a business that has successfully been in operation for less than three years and has positively contributed to the community;

Bella Nails and Shoefflé were both presented with the Small Business Award, which recognizes small business for their hard work and dedication to the community;

Acquistapace’s Covington Supermarket was awarded the All in the Family Award, which honors an establishment that is a successful family-owned business;

Mele Printing for the Legacy Award, celebrating a thriving business that has been in operation for more than 20 years and has made a long-term commitment to preserving the integrity and character of St. Tammany Parish; and

Abita Brewing Company for the Tammany Proud Award, which honors a business that does work outside of the southeast Louisiana area and has fostered a positive image of St. Tammany Parish.

We are so proud to have all of these successful businesses in our community and we hope you join us in thanking them for choosing St. Tammany Parish!
