NRPs to host Leaders of Tomorrow Program
5/24/2012 2:41:52 PM

Last year the Northshore Rising professionals, a committee of the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, held a new program designed to teach high school students leadership and career skills while encouraging students to return to St. Tammany Parish upon college graduation.

The NRP Leaders of Tomorrow program, sponsored by the University of Phoenix, brings young professionals and student leaders together for discussion and information on the leading industries in our community. "The Leaders of Tomorrow program really expanded the students knowledge of local business and industry and how it works.” said Allie McMahan, a facilitator and small business owner from last year’s program.

Leaders of Tomorrow will be broken into six sessions which will cover the following topics areas: Sales and Marketing, Healthcare, Finance, Culinary, Non-Profits, Politics, Small Business and Entrepreneurs. The deadline to apply is May 31st, 2012. Download the application or for more information call Sally Hoffstadt at 985-871-2409.

The Northshore Rising Professionals' goal is to bring young professionals together to engage with one another and the business, political, and community leadership, in an effort to improve our community, through projects designed to support commerce and a high quality of life for our citizens.
